Mary Stevens Athena Karate & Don Came Karate for Life Joint Seminar
Mary Stevens is a vocal advocate for women’s rights, and the Primary teacher for the Athena School of Karate. She is an educator and self-protection specialist, working with the non-profit organisation Fairfight, she is a registered Instructor with 500 Rising and published author.
On Saturday April 13th from 12-4pm in Abingdon, Oxfordshire at John Mason School Hall, Mary and I will be teaming up to offer you ‘Karate for Self-Defence’.
Cost £35 early bird (until March 13th) or £40 thereafter.
We will be covering key elements of close-range practical karate in the context of self-defence. Ranges, pathways, and angles: understanding the underlying principles to access rapid decision-making under pressure.
This seminar is open to martial artists of all styles and will be of particular interest to karate practitioners seeking engaging and useful drills to use kata and kihon as the functional toolbox for physical threat responses.
